FAME Week Screen Ad — End-to-End Music Offering in 60 Seconds
We designed a bento-style, beat-synced film that made a complex music service stack simple, memorable, and event-ready.
Watch the Film
Our approach: lead with clarity, pace it to the beat, and make every word work on a giant screen.
Objective
Turn a long list of services (supervision, bespoke composition, production music, A&R, copyright, royalties) into a single,
confident narrative shown with our client at FAME Week.
Audience Insight
Music users, not makers. Agencies, brand teams, producers. They want legal certainty and emotional impact — without wading through jargon.
Strategy & Idea
A bento-style grid + kinetic typography mapped the offer in clean, high-contrast tiles, timed to musical transients.
We framed outcomes over operations and repeated a direct CTA: “Let’s find your sound.”
- Hook: “Find the right sound for your story.”
- Proof cues: client-supplied stats presented as in-film badges.
- Modularity: swappable labels, stats, CTAs for future events.
Craft
- Motion language: tile reveals, elastic-in/linear-out easing, micro-bounces on downbeats.
- Type system: event-legible, 2–3 weights, short lines for distance readability.
- Audio bed: “Creativity” (Envato Elements, ID QJYW7D3) + subtle SFX for section shifts.
- Accessibility: AA contrast, sound-off-safe social cut-downs.
Outcomes
- Clear positioning of an end-to-end music partner in under a minute.
- Reusable system for events and social (45s/30s/15s).
- Stronger sales conversations: services understood at a glance.
What the work was about
Downtown Music Publishing Africa grew from a site-maintenance relationship into a broader rebrand and communication system for a music-publishing business.
The creative direction
The direction gives a complex publishing offer a clearer public rhythm: a website as the base, with identity touchpoints and motion work carrying the same voice into launches, workshops, catalogue and library communication, and events.
What Lucidity delivered
Downtown Fame Week Video is the live project record for one part of the work. The work spans the Downtown Music Publishing Africa website, launch and logo films, Fame Week and event motion pieces, social material, and a UKZN Production Music & Licensing Workshop identity touchpoint. The pieces are designed to work as a living communications system rather than isolated campaign assets.
