What the work was about
Constitution Hill’s ongoing digital work spans Basha Uhuru, the Human Rights Festival and Women’s Month programming: a cultural programme that needs to be as alive online as it is on site.
The creative direction
The direction balances the gravity of a national heritage site with the movement of contemporary culture. Programme information, event storytelling and social content are shaped to help a varied public encounter the work without flattening its history.
What Lucidity delivered
Conhill Human Rights Festival 2026 website is the live project record for one part of the work. The work covers website development, programme and event publishing, event films, and social imagery and motion. It also includes the SheFest 2024 programme at the Women’s Gaol, where exhibitions, screenings, talks, workshops, intergenerational dialogue and music sat within a wider reflection on women’s contributions to South African democracy.

What this shows
Motion has more power when it carries the idea, not just the spectacle: pace, image and message should arrive together.
